Born and raised in Hartford CT, Chef Ron Jenkin's love for cooking was kindled in his family kitchen, where he was inspired by his mother's and grandmother's culinary prowess. His passion for food led him to the Art Institute of Atlanta, where he received his culinary education, and later to the University of Maine at Presque Isle, where he earned a Master's in Organization and Leadership, complementing his Bachelor's in Management.
Chef Ron's illustrious career is marked by high-profile roles that have allowed him to showcase his culinary skills and leadership abilities. His commitment to quality and innovation has earned him the reputation of a celebrity chef, with a following that extends beyond the borders of Georgia.
In July 2020, Chef Ron embarked on a new venture as the owner of Afri Gourmet LLC (doing business as Afri Gourmet Catering), a Georgia-based company that celebrates the rich and diverse flavors of cultural cuisine. His work as the Principal and Nutrition & Wellness Lead at North America Food & Farm PBC has been instrumental in championing sustainable farming and healthy eating.
